Ludwig’s Dream Castle Stein | Ludwig’s Dream Castle Stein | Second in the series named “Romantic Germany”. Ling Ludwig, most famous for commissioning the Neuschwnanstein Castle, had an even more ambitious dream, the creation of yet another castle entitled “Falkenstein.” A site had been selected in Bavaria, sketches were created, and the ground had been cleared for the construction. But all was halted and never restarted when Ludwig me an untimely death by drowning in Lake Starnberg. Just as Falkenstein was to be larger than Neuschwnanstein, so is this stein larger then item 6252 Neuschwnanstein Castle Commemorative stein. Entirely hand painted, it has a deatailed panoramic figural stoneware body portraying how Falkkenstein would have actually appeared. Solid pewter lid and Bavarian Crest thumblift. Hand painted resin miniature figurine of Ludwig. The lid ornament is made in England. Limited Edition of 9,000 pieces.
